As locations go for weddings, you really cannot surpass the grandeur of the gorgeous Butleigh Wootton. This simply fabulous Victorian mansion set on sprawling lush lawns with its imposing facade is one of Melbourne’s most sought after wedding venues for ceremonies and receptions and is a wedding photographer’s dream come true! So, you can understand why when Ira and Marco sat me down and told me where exactly they were getting married I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of their day.

From the moment Ira stepped into the spectacular silk canopy and began her walk down the black carpeted aisle it was apparent that everyone in attendance, including myself, was absolutely captivated by the understated elegance of Ira and her bridesmaids.

As Ira and Marco’s wedding day progressed, you know as a photographer, that certain moments will inevitably be captured forever on film, but, they are still the moments that always make those around catch their breath; The look of pride and joy on Marco’s face whilst confirming his vows to his bride, that special glow on Ira’s face after their first kiss as man and wife when giving her husband a warm hug and the huge smiles on the faces of those closest to them who are delighted to be a part of this momentous day in their lives.

I personally wish to thank Ira and Marco for letting me play a small part in their day and I hope that they treasure their beautiful wedding photos and that they forever remind them of the special bond between them.
